DC War Memorial Wedding

The DC War Memorial is one of DC’s popular wedding locations due to its prime location and affordability! The War memorial is great for a small intimate wedding, elopement, or larger weddings can be accommodated using the lawn next to the memorial. The DC War Memorial is located on the National Mall to the side of the Reflecting Pool and walking distance to the Lincoln Memorial, Tidal Basin, and MLK Memorial. The DC War Memorial is one of only three locations available for wedding ceremonies on the National Mall (the other locations include the Jefferson Memorial lawn and the George Mason Memorial).

To reserve the DC War Memorial as your wedding ceremony venue you must contact the National Park Service. Wedding permits at the DC War Memorial are reserved in two-hour time blocks, and the cost is $90. All setup and breakdown must take place within the two-hour window reserved. The application you need to fill out is called a Special Use Permit, and it can be accessed on the permit page of the NPS website.
