Dumbarton House Wedding Georgetown Washington DC
Hannah & Chris got ready for their wedding day at The Fairmont Hotel in Georgetown. The lobby of The Fairmont was the perfect place to capture all of the details of their outfits! After getting ready we headed to The Dumbarton House in Georgetown for their first look. The ceremony took place behind the house and the reception was held in the tented area. The whole day was planned perfectly by Sarah of Pollyanna Events!

The Dumbarton House is a beautiful historic venue located in the cute residential area of Georgetown just down the street from Dumbarton Oaks Gardens one of my favorite DC gardens. Throughout the year this venue is also open to the public as a museum and a tourist attraction. Dumbarton House can hold a reception with up to 150 guest seated in its private outdoor and indoor tented space. The venue is surrounded by gardens and plenty of spaces to capture beautiful portraits. Under the trees the light was so soft and perfect!

Grand Atrium Tyson's Corner Wedding | Washington DC Wedding Photographer
Matt & Saori tied the knot at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, Virginia. It was a pleasure to capture their day! Although the church strictly prohibited flash photography, we were able to capture many gorgeous images of the ceremony. As a professional photographer it is important to know how to capture images in low-light situations like this! Following the ceremony I was thrilled to have lots of time in the timeline to capture amazing portraits in Georgetown along the waterfront and C&O Canal. The reception was at The Grand Atrium in Tyson's Corner. The Grand Atrium features two levels of event space. The cocktail hour was hosted downstairs while the final touches were put on the dinning room above. Once cocktail hour ended guest were escorted upstairs to a buffet dinner followed by open dancing back downstairs on the dance floor.
Georgetown is one of my favorite locations in DC to take couples for portraits!

Intimate Tudor Place Wedding | Georgetown Wedding Photographer
Trent & Paul met 25 years prior to their wedding day at a conference in Ohio. For their wedding they wanted an outdoor setting and choose the Tudor Place in Georgetown because of its beautiful colorful outdoor gardens. They also loved the statues of the Whippets in the Tudor Place's Bowling Green Gardens that reminded them of their Italian Greyhounds. The name of the gardens they had their ceremony in is "Bowling Green" which is the name of the college one of the grooms went to. For their intimate ceremony Trent and Paul walked down the isle with a classical guitarist playing in the background. They said “I Do” in front of about 35 of their closest friends and family.
The Tudor Place is a photographers dream! This venue sits on 6 acres of land in Georgetown just down the street from Dumbarton Oaks Gardens. In addition to wedding Tudor Place is also open to the public for tours of the house and the garden areas. As a photographer I was in love with all the beautiful surrounding that I took advantage of for these beautiful portraits!
