Washington, DC Self Officiated Wedding Ceremony at Lafayette Park

A self-uniting marriage is where couples are married without the presence of a third party officiant. Only a few states in the US offer this option. Washington, DC is one of the few places where you can self officiate your wedding ceremony! I met this couple at the Hay Adams while they were visiting DC to photograph a few portraits on the rooftop with the view of the White House, Washington Monument, and Jefferson Memorial. After some wedding portraits at the Hay Adams we walked over to Lafayette Park in front of the White House for their self-uniting ceremony!
