Adam & Bruce | Wedding at Old Ebbitt Grill | Washington DC Wedding Photographer
Adam and Bruce met in October 2009 in a rehearsal of D.C.'s Different Drummers, an LGBT Community Music Organization. The proposal occurred during their annual Labor Day weekend trip to Rehoboth Beach, DE in September 2013. The weather was horrible that day, and Adam's initial idea of proposing on the beach was squashed by rain. In order to not lose momentum, he modified his plan & proposed in their hotel room during a quiet moment during the weekend at the beach.
Adam and Bruce choose The Metropolitan Community Church of Washington DC as their ceremony location because of its founding principle of inclusiveness within the LGBT community. The church had large windows which let in some amazing light for a ceremony in front of 180 of Adam and Bruce's closest friends and family. Following the ceremony the reception begin at The Old Ebbitt Grill. The reception area features a large atrium with marble floors. I was so excited to be able to escape away from the reception with the newly married couple for some portraits with a breathtaking view of the city on the rooftop.
