Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
This year and each year I am thankful for all the love I have photographed and documented from capturing surprise proposals, engagement sessions and weddings. It is always an honor to photograph a couple's love and interaction. I am thankful for all the positive feedback from the amazing clients I have worked with. The love and positive energy I receive motivates me to continue what I love doing the most. I am so happy to be surrounded by so many great friends in the wedding and event industry as well between other photographers, wedding planners, and other vendors.
I am so excited for what the holiday season and 2016 has in store!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Supreme Court Landmark Decision | All States Must Allow Same-Sex Marriage |
Today the Supreme Court of The United States ruled in a landmark desicion that ALL states must allow same-sex marriage in the case of Obergefell Vs. Hodges.
"The Fourteenth Amendment requires a State to license a marriage between two people of the same sex and to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out-of-State."
Earlier this morning I was in Northwest DC completing a job for one of my corporate clients when I received the news via post after post on social media. I had a hour of spare time and decided to venture over and experience the excitement in this historical moment. As I drove by I could see crowds of people walking over. I parked as soon as I could and joined them.
Upon my arrival I was immersed in the crowd of many supporters, many members of the media and overwhelming emotion. I spotted a couple that had just met up with each other near the courthouse. They were in tears of joy, smiling ear to ear in excitement that they could now marry legally in their home state of Ohio. Many other stories like this were happening all around me.
I am so honored to have witnessed this historical moment and am so excited with what has to come. There is still so much work to be done within the LGBT community for equal rights. My job is the best there is to be capturing beautiful couples in love!
Love Wins.
Wedding Wire World 2015 | Washington DC Wedding Photographer | Gaylord National Harbor
For the third consecutive year in a row I had the pleasure of being apart of The Wedding Wire World Convention at The Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center at The National Harbor! I love Wedding Wire World! This years convention was a two-day event including presentation by top industry leaders, professionals, motivational speakers, mentors, social media experts and so many great other presenters!
Wedding Wire World is a great day to network, learn and improve your business with all the new education! When you first arrive you check and get a badge with your name, company name and the location of your business, you then get to add a ribbon of the category you represent! (Photographer, Wedding Planner, DJ, Venue, Cake Artist, Makeup Artist Etc.) Vendors from all over the country attend! Following check in there is a networking breakfast and then the day began with seminar after seminar. Midday was lunch and more networking followed by breakout sessions that focused on more specific topics. Day 2 was a similar layout with other exciting events!

My Experience at The Epic Baltimore Sam Hurd Photography Workshop
I had the pleasure of spending my birthday this year at an all day workshop in Baltimore, Maryland with 20 other wedding photographers from all over including DC, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Colorado! Sam Hurd's workshop was awesome! I had so much fun taking notes and learning so much. By the end of the day I was worn out and tired but INSPIRED and motivated to improve my craft. Here are some behind the scenes shots of part of the day where we had a live shoot.
So great meeting so many new friends and learning so much to impliment into my business and wedding photography in 2015 and beyond!
