I love to photograph holiday parties for companies at the end of the year! It's so fun to see employees having a great time after another year of hard work! I had the pleasure of capturing usgroupbooking.com's holiday party for their employees, partners, and clients, The party was held at The Hyatt Regency Fairfax in Fairfax, Virginia just outside of Washington DC. The party had a cocktail hour, ice sculpture, photo booth, entertainers, an awesome DJ and some fun party games! It was a fun night with some great decor!

Washington DC Event Photographer - Dewers Whiskey DC Ramble
I captured this event with Dewers to document their Washington DC Ramble a bus tour combined with a tasting. The event started at a bar called Dirty Habit where guest tasted cocktails made with Dewers Whsikey and continued with a tour of the city at night filled with history and cool locations! Dirty Habit is also a great event space for small private events and cocktail hours.

The Winery at Bull Run in Centerville, Virginia is less then a half hour from Washington, D.C. making it the closest winery to D.C. It's just 2 miles from route 66. In addition to daily wine tastings and a great winery to visit it also the perfect wedding venue. The winery can comfortably accommodate weddings and events for up to 170 guest. DC Strokes Gala at The Loft at 600 F Street
I had a pleasure capturing The DC Strokes Gala at The Loft at 600 F Street! DC Strokes is an LGBT-friendly rowing team located in Washington, DC that offers rowing programs for individuals of all ability levels. The Loft at 600 F Street is the perfect modern venue for small intimate weddings and events. The venue is located right near The Verizon Center on F street in NW. I love the exposed brick and modern feel of this venue! It is always a please to capture a wedding or event at The Loft, as well as my second event for DC Strokes!

Supreme Court Landmark Decision | All States Must Allow Same-Sex Marriage |
Today the Supreme Court of The United States ruled in a landmark desicion that ALL states must allow same-sex marriage in the case of Obergefell Vs. Hodges.
"The Fourteenth Amendment requires a State to license a marriage between two people of the same sex and to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out-of-State."
Earlier this morning I was in Northwest DC completing a job for one of my corporate clients when I received the news via post after post on social media. I had a hour of spare time and decided to venture over and experience the excitement in this historical moment. As I drove by I could see crowds of people walking over. I parked as soon as I could and joined them.

Upon my arrival I was immersed in the crowd of many supporters, many members of the media and overwhelming emotion. I spotted a couple that had just met up with each other near the courthouse. They were in tears of joy, smiling ear to ear in excitement that they could now marry legally in their home state of Ohio. Many other stories like this were happening all around me.
I am so honored to have witnessed this historical moment and am so excited with what has to come. There is still so much work to be done within the LGBT community for equal rights. My job is the best there is to be capturing beautiful couples in love!

The 2015 Washington DC Say I Do LGBT Wedding Expo was held again at the modern Hotel Palomar in Dupont Circle. This hotel is gorgeous, I love the modern atmosphere along with its convenient location in Dupont. This was my third year as the sponsored photographer of The Washington DC Say I Do Expo and my 4th event with Say I Do (I had the opportunity to attend The Philly event last year as well!)

Association of Wedding Professionals | The Sheraton Tyson's Corner | DC Wedding Professionals Networking Event
I love to network and in 2015 I am networking more then ever! One of my favorite networking groups I love to always mention is AWP: The Association of Wedding Professionals. AWP is a monthly membership based group of Washington DC's best wedding vendors. Each month we meet at another DC area venue. I am proud to be the social media manager for AWP! Association of Wedding Professionals of Washington DC Networking Meeting | Westfields Marriott Event
As part of my business I network with a lot of vendors in the wedding and event industry. One of my favorite networking groups I am a member of is AWP of Greater Washington DC. AWP meets once a month at a different venue in the DC area that kindly offers there space for the meeting! The night always consist of great networking, a presentation and a mouth watering catered dinner! Every now and then I have the honor of photographing the event! This months event was held at The Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia.

Paradise Springs Winery Surprise Birthday Party | Clifton, Virginia Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family and the surprise birthday party they throw for Jeff's 69th birthday at Paradise Springs Winery in the town of Clifton, Virginia. To make it a surprise they choose to throw the party for Jeff's 69th instead of his 70th where he would likely be expecting something big! Their closest family and friends gathered traveling from all part of the country including places such as New Orleans.

Paradise Springs Winery is located on 36 acres of land in Clifton, Virginia making it a great location for weddings and events or an outing with some local wine. The venue featured some great backdrop for family portraits with Jeff's family including vineyards and an eye popping red barn.
The party was held in this cute red barn seen in the images above! Wow it was perfect.

I had the pleasure of documenting Heather & Awori's Rehearsal Dinner the night before their big wedding day! The dinner took place at the Welch Medical Library at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. The library was elegant featuring large artwork and paintings on the walls after guest entered through a marble staircase.

AWP is The Association of Wedding Professionals: a group of the areas best wedding vendors in DC Maryland and Virginia including photographers, caterers, venues, bakers, officiants, DJs, wedding planners, photo booths, and any other vendors in the wedding industry. AWP meets monthly at a differnt venue in the metro DC area. Each meeting starts off with a networking happy hour followed by a dinner during a presentation on different topics each month.
